We interviewed 4 different agents and going into it we were leaning towards a different agent. But when we interviewed John and then bid him goodbye and "we'll decide tonight"... we closed the door, looked at each other and both immediately agreed, he was it! And that's why you don't choose by the phone interview!!! Not only was John friendly and personable, but knowledgeable; you could tell he knew the business and the area. There were a couple things he pointed out about the property and some previous experiences he had selling places with pools that we would never have thought of and the other agents made no mention of; and were super simple adjustments. Also, we didn't have to get a professional photographer; although the sun was setting, but he got excellent shots of the entire place. He was always in contact during the process, provided guidance when we asked and felt like a true partner throughout the process; sharing the elations and frustrations that come naturally with selling a property. I also must mention that he got us $22K more than the first agent wanted to list the place at. His pricing estimate was spot on. We are continuing our partnership with John and he's now helping us find a new house in the 51 corridor area of Phoenix. Off of the first set of listings he sent us, we already targeted 10 houses, 3 of which we are pretty interested in and 1 we are looking at immediately. I expect this will be another great experience with John helping us through. And I expect to continue to work with John as we move into investment properties as well. He is professional but relaxed, knowledgeable but not pushy or condescending (like the first person we interviewed), communicative in the right measure and a pure joy to work with. We was really happy with John. He took a situation that was less than ideal with our property and guided us so that it past the FHA inspection to be sold at a profit. Nothing else needs to be added.
